Design your legacy. Drive lasting change.
Own a social cause from blueprint to real-world impact, across three tiers built around your goals and timeline.
This is your initiative, not an internship placement.
- You choose the cause. Project directors help narrow it into something specific, actionable, and measurable.
- You get a mentor, not a supervisor. Regular check-ins with an HP project mentor across your whole timeline.
- Impact is documented with real data. That documentation becomes your portfolio and the basis of your LOR.

Passion Projects, answered
Passion Projects suit students who want a sustained, personal narrative, owning a cause from start to finish. Immersions suit students who want an intense, short-term experience alongside other extracurriculars.
You choose your cause. During the consultation, project directors help narrow it into something specific, actionable, and measurable, guided by your own interest throughout.
Accelerator: 4 to 6 weeks, a quick but real intervention. Core: a centrepiece for your Common App or UCA essay. Visionary: for a gap year, a thesis, or something built to outlast you.
Regular check-ins with an HP mentor throughout. Your impact is documented with real data, the backbone of your portfolio and LOR.
A Letter of Recommendation from Hamari Pahchan NGO, based on your demonstrated impact. Plus portfolio-ready documentation and volunteering certificates (1 for Core, 3 for Visionary).

One urgent question: what will you change?
A 4-week fellowship where high schoolers build solutions to India's biggest challenges, across six tracks.
Build digital tools that solve real problems for Indian communities. Explore AI ethics and responsible design, no coding experience required.
Examine health as a social, economic, and cultural issue. Work with community health workers and design campaigns that meet people where they are.
Explore microfinance, digital payments, and the gig economy in the hands of those who need financial inclusion most.
Engage with students, teachers, and communities. Design teaching resources, run sessions at government schools, or investigate dropout causes.
Ground climate action in the hyperlocal, the drains, trees, and skies of Indian cities and villages. Design interventions rooted in a specific community.
Learn how decisions are made, where power sits, and how citizens, including teenagers, can meaningfully influence both. File RTIs. Write policy briefs.
Weeks alternate between the field, the session room, and your own build.
From Week 2, you're building something real, mentored by HP staff and domain experts.
